UCP of Central Florida

For over 60 years, UCP of Central Florida has provided vital services for Central Florida children and families touched by disabilities. Over the last decade, that mission has evolved to serve children of all abilities through a ground-breaking inclusion model, based on the research and philosophy that children with and without disabilities can excel academically, developmentally, and socially when given the get the opportunity to learn and grow together. By challenging the traditional ¿Special Ed¿ model -- children get a real-world opportunity to collaborate and cultivate academic and interpersonal skills. UCP also provide physical, occupational, speech therapy, and family support services at all campuses giving parents a multi-disciplinary approach to all dimensions of a child. UCP¿s consortium is made up of 6 Inclusive Elementary School Campuses across Osceola, Seminole, and Orange County and one Middle and High School campus south of Downtown Orlando. UCP also partners with Orange County Public Schools to operate The BETA Program for Teen Mothers and their babies on Lake Underhill Road.

Mission Statement

UCP was founded in 1955 to help children with cerebral palsy and has evolved throughout its history to help children with any disability or developmental delay as well as children without disabilities. Today, UCP of Central Florida provides education, therapy and support for children with and without disabilities through seven campuses across Central Florida.
