Create Positive Aging! More than 10,000 baby boomers will turn 65 every day in the United States for the next 19 years. The Commission on Aging is working to create a lifelong community that promotes active aging opportunities while expanding awareness of local support services. Health fairs, educational classes and monthly newsletters all help link local residents to the services and opportunities that exist in Central Florida. Making communities "age-friendly" has been identified as one of the best ways to help seniors to remain healthy, active and independent for as long as they can.
