JAG Ed Byrne Recovery | Rapid Identification Project

The Orange County Sheriff's Office will purchase approximately 81 fingerprint readers or mobile biometric devices. These devices will quickly identify a suspect. This technology will enhance the crime reduction efforts by the Sheriff's Office. The multimodal systems are integrated with mobile devices and used in rugged hardware. In addition, the handheld biometric terminals can go virtually anywhere to provide instant, on-the-spot verification.
