Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant | LED Traffic Signals

The LED Traffic Signals project is one of eleven projects in Orange County being funded by the Department of Energy through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG). This goal of this project is to upgrade inefficient incandescent traffic signal light bulbs at road intersections throughout Orange County with high-efficiency light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs. This will cover the approximately 50% remaining incandescent traffic bulbs in Orange County. These new bulbs save energy, have a longer lifespan than incandescent bulbs, and provide much brighter light.
