Orlando Science Center Effciency and Renewables Upgrades and Education
The Orlando Science Center Efficiency and Renewable Upgrades and Education project is one of eleven projects in Orange County being funded by the Department of Energy through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG).
This project seeks to award the Orlando Science Center with $200,000 to replace one inefficient HVAC system with a newer, energy-efficient system. The goal of replacing this inefficient system is to reduce energy consumption and save on heating, cooling, and maintenance costs. At the same time, this more efficient system will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
