JAG Ed Byrne Recovery | Patrol Tactical Kits

The Orange County Sheriff's Office will obtain tactical entry kits that will be utilizied in the quest to maintain maximum safety for the citizens and deputies. These kits will include ballistic shields, extra ammunition, door ram, clear-out gas, halogen tool, sledge hammer, bolt cutter and search mirror. The kits will be located at each of six substations. The kits will escalate the assistance given in search and rescue of victims, provide a more rapid response time for all calls with an anticipated increase in the capture of a suspect. The use of this equipment will aid our deputies in the capture and apprehension of violent felons and safeguard the community from further attack.
